An impressive 19th century Indian Matchlock rampart gun. Firearms of this type would, as the name suggests, have been used whilst resting their considerable weight upon the ramparts of the fortress. Their long barrels giving them the ability to shoot at attackers from a much greater range. The overall length of this item measures 7ft 2 inches.

Because of the length of the gun, it would not be possible to post it, so it would have to collected by the buyer.

A percussion musket with original ram rod. Barrel lightly pitted with proof marks. brass ram rod tubes and brass tip to front of stock. Lock plate marked with Crown and V.R. and 1855 over Tower. Arsenal markings to butt, top of butt plate marked LTC over M over 87. Brass trigger guard bearing one incorrect screw, missing swing swivels, stock has been cleaned at some time. On opposing side to lock, stock marked J. Crockett. Lock action working but sticky. An interesting musket with marks to butt plate and stock suggesting Police Constabulary issue.

A de-activated Enfield No. 4 .303 rifle. Fully working bolt, detachable 10 round box magazine, long range Mark II sight, woodwork in good condition and brass butt plate with trap for oil bottle and pull through. De-activated in 1986 and supplied with certificate.
